Home / About

A Affordable Glass is one man, one truck, and a standard he won't move.

“The integrity of the upright shall guide them …”Proverbs 11:3 · KJV

His name is Charles. He has been doing glass and mirror work out of Rochester Hills since 2014, and he still answers his own phone.

The owner

You get the same person from the first call to the last wipe-down.

“A faithful man shall abound with blessings …”Proverbs 28:20 · KJV

Most glass companies hand you off three or four times. A receptionist takes a message. A salesman comes out days later and quotes you a whole new window. A crew you've never spoken to shows up two months after that, and if something isn't right, nobody is quite sure whose job it was.

That's not how this works. Charles takes the call, gives the quote, comes out to measure, cuts and polishes the glass, installs it, cleans up, and stands behind it. On heavier mirrors and bigger panels, Greg comes along to help lift. That's the whole company.

It's the reason customers keep writing the same three things in their reviews: he answered the phone, he came the same day, and the price was what he said it would be.

Why the work looks like this

Charles is a Christian, and he runs the business like a man who has to answer for it.

“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”Romans 14:12 · KJV

He doesn't preach at customers. He just tells the truth about what your glass needs, charges what he said he'd charge, and shows up when he said he'd show up — including Sundays after church when somebody is stuck.

Customers notice, and they write it down. One wrote that Charles told her plainly he has “to answer to Jesus, standing account of his words and actions.” Another said he prayed over her before he left. Another called him “a wonderful Christian company.” Nine years of reviews and the same word keeps coming back: integrity.

“He is a man of his words having integrity. He left an impression restoring hope in humanity that there are good people in this world.”

How we operate

Five things you can count on.

“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much …”Luke 16:10 · KJV

Answer the phone

Eight-thirty at night. Nine p.m. Saturday morning. Reviews on this company are full of people amazed that a human picked up. That's the first promise, and everything else depends on it.

Quote it honestly

If a photo and measurements are enough, you'll get a number over the phone. If it needs an exact measurement, he'll come take one — and the final invoice matches the quote.

Fix the glass, not your wallet

Homeowners are routinely told a foggy window means a whole new window. Usually it doesn't. We'll tell you when replacement really is the right call, and when it isn't.

Move fast

Most mirrors and tabletops happen same-day or next-day. Custom insulated units are typically days, while the quotes people bring us from elsewhere run four to eight weeks.

Leave it better than we found it

Broken glass swept and hauled away, windows cleaned inside and out, screens put back in even when they weren't part of the job.

Make it right

When something arrives wrong — and occasionally it does — it gets handled, at our expense of time and patience, until you're happy. That's the whole reputation.

“A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.”
Proverbs 11:1 · KJV

On the job

Not stock photos. Actual Tuesdays.
